Course: Sophia’s Story

After losing her previous job, Sophia sought employment in a care home but faced challenges due to her lack of confidence.

At a jobs fair, she met Nicky from East Coast College, who, upon hearing her story, offered assistance in finding new work with the help of the Apollo project. Recognising this as the perfect opportunity, Sophia eagerly joined the project.

Sophia and Nicky focused on qualifications, with Sophia completing the Prevent Awareness course to enhance her skills. Nicky also helped her retrieve her Maths and English exam results, boosting her updated CV. Since then, Sophia had an interview for an HCA position at a local hospital and is eager to continue her journey!
