If you are looking for a career in the Health and Social Care Sector, already employed but would like to gain further skills or if you are currently volunteering but would like this role to transition into paid employment then the APOLLO PROJECT could be for you.
NHS East of England and the Integrated Care Board are supporting a pilot provision in the coastal and rural areas of Norfolk and Suffolk. Strengthening our health and care workforce is a key priority if the integrated care approach is to deliver benefits to the people living in coastal and rural areas. The project has innovation and sustainability at its heart, as this will support the future and work in an ever evolving environment.
This Apollo Project was formed in August 2023 and will ensure that the community and those in need, will be supported to live a healthy life as possible, have a good service experience and be supported to receive holistic and person-centred care. Apollo will help our providers with the two identified key struggles: workforce recruitment and retention. It acknowledges that these challenges are not only with the front-line team, but also broader support is required for ancillary roles, across a variety of contract types.
To support this project an ethos was formed with some key pledges, those being: making health and care the best place to work, improving leadership culture, tackling the staffing challenge, delivering 21st century care and a creating a new operating model for workforce.
Each of the 6 colleges delivering the programme are offering free courses or support and if you would like to know more, please use the buttons below to find out more and to see how we can either help you begin your health and social career, or help you to upskill yourself or your employees.
