The Apollo Project is proud to continue its mission for a third year, helping individuals across Norfolk and Suffolk access training and employment opportunities within the Health and Social Care sector. The next phase of the project officially launches on October 1st, 2025.
Thanks to funding from NHS England, the initiative remains active and committed to delivering high-impact support to those seeking meaningful careers in care.
To date, the Apollo Project has supported over 640 people into employment and engaged with more than 820 employers across the region – a testament to its growing impact and reach.
Partnering with East Coast College in Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, Suffolk New College, College of West Anglia, West Suffolk College and East Norfolk Sixth Form College, the project’s dedicated team will be working out of local job centres and attending community events. They will be connecting with job seekers and students alike – offering guidance resources and pathways into one of the region’s most vital sectors.
“We’re incredibly proud of the difference the Apollo project has made so far,” said Laura Goodman, Apollo’s Stakeholder Lead. “This next phase is about building on that success – reaching even more people, strengthening our partnerships and continuing to open doors into Health and Social Care Careers.
“The Apollo project has helped me rediscover my confidence, self-esteem and drive. The service is very helpful and empowers individuals to achieve more than they know.” said Neil Read, who now works at East Coast College as Hub Coordinator.
Cecilia, an ex participant stated: “I found the Apollo project to be helpful because I gained so many valuable skills. I now feel well prepared to take on more responsibilities and continue developing professionally in this field.”
